The new Hyundai IONIQ 5 has all-electric capability that goes the distance. The electric powertrain of the SE Standard Range produces 168 horsepower and provides a total driving range of up to 220 miles combined. Corvallis shoppers can opt for a rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel-drive system of the SE trim delivers a driving range of up to 303 miles combined with 225 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive system provides a driving range of up to 266 miles combined with 320 horsepower. The same driving range and horsepower output is available for the SEL and Limited trims.
With the power from these powertrains, you can accelerate at a moment's notice, and the IONIQ 5 can reach 60 mph in as little as 4.5 seconds. The SUV's suspension feels soft, but its body retains a low center of gravity, which helps it stick to the ground while cornering at higher speeds around Keizer.
It takes seven hours to charge the battery from 10 to 100 percent with the Level 2 station. With a DC Fast Charger, you can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 25 minutes. The 800-volt charger goes from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The vehicle's regenerative brakes help the battery last longer on the streets of McMinnville.
